This book is about the kids of London trying to survive after a disease turns people sixteen and older into a creature that can only be described as a zombie, or it kills them. The kids have to deal with their friends dying, trying to scavenge food, they need to learn how to survive.
My friend Brandon and I both like this series. It is actually book 2 in the series but I suggest reading The Dead first because the events in the book are months before what happens in book 1 and the rest of the series.

This book is about a 13 year old boy named Atticus Higginbottom, who one day gets a mysterious letter addressed from Alaska, signed with the initials M.G. The letter states that if he accepts the challange he would be sent 12 more cryptic letters that he would have to solve, and if he succeeds he might save many people.
I myself liked the book, and I think you should read it, it is book 1 of a series written by James Dashner who also wrote The Maze Runner series.
